Travel north, through dense rainforest broken by rugged costal vistas, towards the glaciers. A shuttle will take you to view one of these massive rivers of ice. Stay 2 nights in Franz Josef of Fox Glaciers.
Day 2 - At Glaciers
This morning enjoy a relaxing Glacier Valley Walk, which will
take you right up to the dramatic face of this
remarkable glacier. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 3 - Glaciers - Christchurch
Travel north past Hokitika, to Greymouth. Board the TranzAlpine train and travel through the Otira Tunnel, over Arthur's Pass and across the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, arriving arriving early evening.
