Welcome to Christchurch, know as the "Garden City" where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. Today is yours for optional activities. Stay 1 night in Christchurch.
Day 2 - Christchurch - Mt Cook - Queenstown
(369 miles/594 kms) A full days journey to Queenstown via Mt Cook. Stay 3 nights in Queenstown.
Day 3 - Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
A full day tour including a cruise on Milford Sound. Return to Queenstown by evening.
Day 4 - At Queenstown
Today is free for you to enjoy this fabulous alpine resort.
Day 5 - Queenstown - Glaciers
(251 miles/404 kms) Travel to the Glaciers. A shuttle will take you to view one of these massive rivers of ice. Stay 1 night at the glaciers.
Day 6 - Franz Josef - Tranzalpine Train - Christchurch
(249 miles/400 kms) Travel to Greymouth and board the scenic TranzAlpine train (Seat-in-Coach only) for a journey famous for its spectacular mountain scenery. Arrive Christchurch early evening.
Day 7 - Christchurch - Rotorua
(flight not included) Fly to Rotorua, New Zealand’s thermal wonderland. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. Stay 2 nights in Rotorua.
At Rotorua
This morning see roaring geysers and boiling mud pools at the thermal area, tame trout at the springs and performing sheep and dogs at the Agrodome. This afternoon is free.
Day 9 - Rotorua - Waitomo - Auckland
(226 miles/363 kms) (lunch included) Travel to Waitomo Caves for lunch and a guided tour of the Glowworm Grotto before continuing on to Auckland.
